About the Role

This is a hands-on position responsible for the safe transportation, loading and unloading of materials, equipment and supplies across Sydney project sites.

You will operate heavy vehicles and truck-mounted cranes, working closely with project managers, supervisors and site teams to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.

This role is ideal for an experienced driver who enjoys working in the construction industry and takes pride in operating equipment safely and professionally.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday

7:00am – 3:30pm

Overtime and weekend work available as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HR vehicles across metropolitan Sydney

• Operate truck-mounted cranes and lifting equipment

• Deliver construction materials, equipment and supplies to project sites

• Load, unload and position materials safely and efficiently

• Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspections

• Ensure loads are secured in accordance with legislative requirements

• Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks and documentation

• Comply with all WHS, transport and site safety requirements

• Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers and site personnel

• Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition

• Represent Ideal Trades professionally on all project sites

About You

Essential Requirements

• Current HR Licence

• Current Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) Licence

• Demonstrated crane truck operating experience

• Demonstrated experience driving Road Ranger

• White Card

• Strong understanding of load restraint requirements

• Excellent driving history

• Strong commitment to safety and compliance

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude

Highly Regarded

• Dogging Licence

• Rigging Licence

• Forklift Licence

• EWP Licence

• Experience delivering to construction, civil or infrastructure projects

• Experience operating a range of lifting equipment

• Basic mechanical aptitude
