Lely Australia is looking for a Technical Service Support (TSS) technician. Lely is a global leader in automated milking systems and dairy automation. A family-owned company with their head office in The Netherlands
The TSS technician provides specialized technical support, installation, commissioning, servicing, training and performance optimisation for advanced agricultural technology systems, including automated milking, feeding, barn automation, herd management software, sensors and robotic farm equipment.
The role works closely with farmers, Lely Centers, technicians, product specialists and engineering teams to ensure agricultural technology systems operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer standards while supporting improved farm productivity, animal welfare and sustainable agricultural practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, commission, configure and validate robotic milking systems, automated feeding systems, sensors, automation equipment and farm management software.
Program and optimise agricultural automation systems.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, automation and software faults.
Conduct preventative maintenance, servicing and technical inspections.
Perform technical audits and provide advanced troubleshooting support.
Monitor and analyse robotic system performance and farm production data.
Provide technical advice and second-line support to dairy farmers, technicians and Lely Centres.
Deliver technical training, coaching and competency development.
Collect, analyse and report technical field data to support continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and environmental requirements.

Planning and organisation
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or at least three years of relevant industry experience.
ExperienceInstallation, servicing and optimisation of automated agricultural technology, robotic milking systems, precision agriculture equipment, agricultural software, field service and customer training.
