Payroll Officer

As our Payroll Officer, you’ll support the end-to-end payroll process while providing exceptional service and advice to our team. You’ll be responsible for:

• Setting up new employees across payroll and Time & Attendance systems

• Processing payroll accurately and in line with relevant legislation

• Managing employee changes, including new starters, terminations and salary updates

• Calculating termination payments, increases and backpays

• Providing accurate payroll advice and support to managers and employees

• Responding to payroll enquiries and providing general administration support

• Maintaining payroll systems, records and electronic filing

• Preparing payroll reports for Operations and relevant departments

• Supporting the Payroll Manager with month-end activities, including leave provisions, reconciliations, reporting and payroll journals

• Maintaining and updating payroll procedures and processing manuals

• 2–3+ years’ experience in payroll or a similar role

• Strong, up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

• Confident using Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems

• Previous retail payroll experience is highly desirable

• Experience with Dayforce Payroll

• Experience with Time & Attendance systems, with UKG experience highly desirable
