Speech Pathologist - Locum - ASAP Start

Are you a passionate Speech Pathologist looking for flexibility, work-life balance and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact?

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to work for one of our hospital clients on a locum basis until mid September. You will be required to work full time hours and must have previous hospital experience.

About the role:

• Provide assessments, intervention and ongoing management for aged care and home care clients

• Conduct swallowing and dysphagia assessments and develop evidence – based management plans

• Provide recommendations regarding safe swallowing strategies, texture modified diets and mealtime support

• Support clients with communication and cognitive communication needs where appropriate

• Liaise with carers, families, nursing staff dietitians and other healthcare professionals to optimize client outcomes

• Complete clinical documentation, reports, care plans and fund related documentation as required

About you:

• Relevant Tertiary Education as a Speech Pathologist (Bachelor)

• Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia

• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
