About the Job

Palmwoods Revegetation are seeking a Natural Areas Maintenance Team Leader to lead a small close knit Team that delivers maintenance to Natural Areas, bio-basins, revegetation areas and landscaped environments. We are looking for someone who prides themselves in their work and possess a high attention to detail and strong work ethic. This is a diverse role which will involve a mix of revegetation works and maintenance, bio-basin maintenance and landscaped environment maintenance. From time to time it will also assist in project works.

About You

You are a passionate and capable candidate who has experience working in the natural area maintenance, including revegetation and bio-basins. It is desirable to have relevant qualifications, with experience in managing a small team highly valued.

Essential

• Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence and own transport;

• Preferred experience as a Team Leader in Natural Areas;

• Relevant field experience in maintaining natural environments, including bio-basins and revegetation areas, including strong plant and weed identifications skills;

• A proven ability to work in hot conditions whilst undertaking physically demanding tasks;

• Experience in managing a team to deliver jobs on time and on budget;

• Ability to work independently and promote teamwork to achieve desired outcomes;

• Ability to adjust on the job and think on your feet to ensure successful delivery

• Demonstrated knowledge of work health and safety policies, procedures, risk identification in conjunction with control measures.

Desirable 

• Cert III in Conservation and Land Management or similar;

• Construction Safety Card (White Card);

• Current ACDC Licence;

• Sound knowledge and identification of South East Queensland native plants and weeds.

• Certificate in Chainsaw Operations (Level 1);

• First Aid Certificate;

• An ability to lead a team and work as part of a team

• Sound knowledge and experience in field work in a revegetation environment;

• If you do not have the above desirable attributes, having a willingness to listen and learn is high regraded and will be valued.
