Clinical Nurse Patient Flow

We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse to the Gympie Permanent Nursing Pool.

The Clinical Nurse (CN) is required to lead and deliver person centred nursing care within a dynamic health environment at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.

The Clinical Nurse (CN) is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making and assisting with Access and Flow. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in collaboration, and in the absence, of the Nurse Manager and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.

This position has a unique role in accepting responsibility for designated aspects of patient care that require the application of advanced communication, clinical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Display excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Understand the operational requirements of the Facility and the patient journey. Guide and support staff in delivering appropriate patient care and service delivery, including clinical pathways.
• Early identification and recognition of patients for admission and collaborate in their care using an appropriate model of care and referral process.
• Provide advanced clinical skill set and problem-solving skills to support clinical units with increased acuity and demand. Promote the use of multidisciplinary management plans and service delivery to facilitate patient safety and improved patient flow.

Remuneration value up to $13• 934 p.a, comprising salary rates $5776 - $61.85 p.h., (part time, 72 hrs p.f.), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG6(1)) (Permanent Part Time, 72 hours p.f.).
