PJL Group is continuing to grow our team at our long-term underground mining project in Kanmantoo, South Australia, and we are currently seeking experienced:

PJL Group is a specialised Underground Hard Rock Maintenance and Asset Supply Company providing maintenance and asset support across the Australian mining industry.

The Kanmantoo Underground operation is located in the Adelaide Hills region, approximately one hour southeast of the Adelaide CBD, with surrounding towns including Mount Barker, Murray Bridge, Hahndorf and Strathalbyn.

PJL is responsible for the supply and maintenance of the underground mining fleet for our client, Hillgrove Resources, operating from dedicated workshop facilities onsite. The fleet consists primarily of Sandvik, Caterpillar and Volvo underground mining equipment.

About the Roles

These opportunities will suit experienced tradespeople looking to join an established site team on a long-term project.

Depending on your trade and position, responsibilities may include:

• Planned and preventative maintenance
• Breakdown repairs and fault finding
• Diagnostics and component change-outs
• Fabrication, welding and repairs to mining equipment and components
• Electrical maintenance and repairs across heavy mobile equipment
• Equipment inspections and identification of repair requirements
• Completing maintenance documentation and reporting
• Working closely with maintenance, planning and operational teams
• Maintaining a high standard of safety, quality and housekeeping
• Supporting the continued reliability and availability of the mining fleet

For our Leading Hand positions, you will also provide hands-on leadership and technical support to trades personnel, coordinate daily maintenance activities, assist with work priorities and lead by example to maintain a positive and safety-focused team environment.

About You

We are looking for reliable and experienced tradespeople who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a strong site-based maintenance team.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• A relevant Australian recognised trade qualification
• Experience within mining, heavy mobile equipment or heavy industry
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work autonomously when required
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Experience working with Sandvik, Caterpillar or Volvo equipment will be highly regarded
• Previous underground mining experience will be highly regarded

For Leading Hand opportunities, previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred; however, experienced tradespeople looking to take the next step into a leadership position are also encouraged to apply.
