The role

At Sydney Light Rail we take pride in the service we provide and the presentation of our network including our light rail vehicles, platforms, depots and facilities. As part of the Cleaning Team you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services across these assets.

Your tasks may include:

·      Office and depot cleaning (bathrooms, meal rooms & kitchens)

·      Platform cleaning and removal of rubbish (gum / sticker removal, wiping down chairs, handrails & signage)

·      Cleaning Light Rail Vehicles (floor cleaning, window & glass, driver cabin)

This role is critical to ensuring vehicles, depots, and operational environments meet strict safety, hygiene, and presentation standards that keep the network running at its best. 

What you bring

• Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning (transport industry preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards
• Team players who can also work independently and follow structured processes
•  Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to shift work (including nights, weekends & public holidays)

In addition, you possess the ability to work autonomously and remain productive throughout the shift without supervision, ensuring all allocated duties are completed to the required standard.
