The Role

Fire Equipment Services (FES) has an opportunity with scope and area and freedom to work with new businesses, universities, hospitals etc to create sales opportunities for FES.
Your role as a Business Development Executive's principal intention is to identify potential leads then to secure and convert them into active customers for the delivery of services to Essential Safety Measures (ESMs). You will develop a short- and long-term pipeline by sourcing new prospects.
Working person to person with prospects. You will attend meetings with them where you will assess their needs with relation to the statutory servicing requirements of Essential Safety Measures (ESMs), tailoring a service quote to meet their fire safety needs.
With an impressive and vast territory in Melbourne, dedicated to the Western side from inner CBD through to and across to Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo, gives many opportunities to prospect and create a viable sales network.
As our newest Business Development Executive, you will develop and increase new business for FES, whilst remaining compliant with FES/FRV policies and procedures that support the building of compliant and resilient communities.
Key Functional Accountabilities:
Achieve and exceed set quarterly and annual sales targets through sale of Essential Safety Measures Services, maintaining a sales report and commission calculation spread sheet on a weekly basis.
Maximise gross margin for services rendered by FES, achieving highest possible price.
Develop leads and build long term relationships with high volume clients and organisations, the likes of Facility Property Managers, Educational, Healthcare and Aged care facilities through tenders, vendor panels and networking.

As FES' newest sales team member partnering with facility managers, major corporations and small organisations across a wide range of industries to consult and sell comprehensive life protecting safety systems.
You will support and propose the best way these organisations are able to protect their people and assets by determining, installing and maintaining fire protection systems.
As a consultative sales-person you will also explain and advise customers on essential training in emergency management to enhance their businesses, service institutions safety.

What you will need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Completed VCE
Proven experience and success in sales within a Service Industry
Success in achieving and exceeding quarterly sales targets
Experience in tender submissions, including within vendor panels, networking high-end client base
Strong communication skills and ability in office 365 (Word, Excel), database input development and implementation of reporting structures
Familiarisation with AS1851, BCA and NCC in relation to Fire Protection and Essential Safety Measures would be highly regarded.
