Full Stop Australia is a not-for-profit organisation, operating nationally, but based in Sydney. Our mission is to put a full stop to sexual, domestic, and family violence and to support those who have been impacted by violence and abuse. We operate the NSW Sexual Violence Helpline and a range of specialist Redress and domestic violence counselling services. Full Stop Australia also offers best-practice training and professional services to support safe and respectful workplaces, and advocate for changes to laws, policies, and practices to better prevent and respond to sexual, domestic, and family violence.

About the Role

The Case Management and Community Engagement Officer role is a part time position working eight shifts across a fortnight. You will be part of the Full Stop Australia’s National Sexual Abuse and Redress Support Service Team providing a service that is trauma informed, non-judgmental, feminist, supportive and responsive. This position will work directly with clients to support their engagement and journey through the National Redress process, increase client access to the National Redress Scheme and engage with community services and partners to enhance awareness and access to the National Sexual Abuse and Redress Support Service.

Full Stop Australia provides regular clinical supervision and professional development.

About You

You will be someone who operates with the highest levels of professionalism and ethical behaviour. You will have knowledge of the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse Act 2018 and be confident to exercise initiative and judgement in service delivery.

You will also have extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas:

• Commitment to the provision of excellence in client service provision.
• Ability to incorporate feminist perspectives within client engagement frameworks.
• Detailed understanding other causes and consequences of sexual assault, family and domestic violence.
• Ability to engage and communicate with groups of people, tailoring communication to suit a specific target group.

Your qualifications and experience will include:

• A relevant community services qualification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years (full time equivalent) of community engagement/development and case management experience. This may include social work case management.
• Superior emotional competence when operating in a high demand trauma environment.
