Factory Hand – Manufacturing Workshop Seven Hills, Sydney | Full-time / Part-time | $28 – $33 per hour

About us We are a long-established manufacturing business (since 1945) that designs and builds specialised machinery for the meat industry. Based in Seven Hills, our small team works with stainless steel fabrication, machined parts, hydraulics, electric motors and control systems. We are developing new products for both local and international customers.

The role We are looking for a reliable Factory Hand to support our production and assembly team. This is a hands-on role involving general workshop duties, assisting with machine assembly, material handling, and keeping the workshop running smoothly.

This position is suitable for people with limited experience, including engineering students, trade school students, or anyone looking to gain practical workshop experience in a real manufacturing environment.

What you’ll do

• Assist with assembly and production of machinery
• Help with material handling, packing and general workshop tasks
• Use basic hand and power tools under supervision
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
• Support the fitters and fabricators as needed

What we’re looking for

• Willingness to learn and a good work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Basic mechanical interest or aptitude (helpful but not essential)
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a workshop environment
• Working rights in Australia

Desirable (not required)

• Current studies in engineering, fitting, fabrication or a related trade
• Previous warehouse, factory or workshop experience
• Forklift license or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to work some overtime when required
