Associate / Senior Associate – Commercial Litigation

About the role

As a Senior Associate (or an experienced Associate who is ready to take on more) you will step into an active litigation team with an existing pipeline of work, handling a broad mix of commercial disputes.

What you can expect to be doing

• Advising clients on commercial litigation matters including energy and renewables projects and corporate and property disputes
• Drafting and reviewing legal pleadings, applications, and court documents for commercial disputes
• Conducting legal research and preparing detailed advice on commercial law matters
• Managing client relationships and maintaining regular communication regarding case progress and strategy
• Preparing cases for trial and appearing in court
• Supporting senior litigation practitioners and collaborating with colleagues on complex matters

About you

You’re a smart, confident, commercially focused and strategic professional who is eager to take the next step in your career.

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

• Approximately 1-2 years’ experience as a Senior Associate (or 4-5 years PAE as an Associate) within commercial litigation
• Strong technical drafting and advisory skills across commercial dispute matters
• Experience managing an active file load and taking ownership of client relationships
• Well-developed drafting and legal research skills, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent organisation, with the ability to manage competing priorities and files
• A collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for working as part of a team to achieve exceptional outcomes for clients
