The Victorian State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) operates and maintains over $1 billion assets including four of Australia’s largest multi-sport venues, the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), the State Netball and Hockey Centre (SNHC), Lakeside Stadium incorporating the State Athletics Centre, and Knox Regional Sports Park including the State Basketball Centre (SBC).

About the role:

As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will lead SSCT's procurement function and act as the central coordination point for procurement activity, governance and assurance across the organisation. Reporting to the General Manager Business Operations, you will play a key role in driving procurement excellence, transformation and continuous improvement.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading the transformation of SSCT's procurement function and providing oversight of procurement activities across the organisation
• Managing high-value and complex procurement projects across goods, services and public construction pathways
• Driving procurement transformation initiatives, including procurement systems, policies and process improvements
• Coordinating the annual Forward Procurement Activity Plan and aligning procurement activities with business priorities
• Maintaining procurement policies, procedures and templates in line with Victorian Government requirements
• Building organisational contract management capability and overseeing strategic and complex contracts
• Providing expert procurement advice to leaders and stakeholders across SSCT
• Leading and developing a small procurement team while fostering strong stakeholder relationships

Required skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience leading procurement functions, ideally within a public sector or government environment
• Strong knowledge of Victorian Government procurement policies and procurement governance requirements
• Proven experience managing complex procurement projects, tenders and contract management activities
• Experience implementing procurement improvement, transformation and change management initiatives
• Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Right to Work in Australia
