Mobile Crane Operators/Riggers & Dogmen

About the role

Henry Plant and Equipment Hire Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Mobile Crane Operators/Riggers & Dogmen to join our team based in Lithgow, NSW. This is a full-time role that will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile cranes on construction sites across the region.

What you'll be doing

• Operate mobile cranes with complete proficiency and in compliance with all safety regulations

• Perform pre-lift inspections and routine maintenance on cranes and associated equipment

• Interpret load charts and schematics to determine safe lifting capacities

• Rig loads, direct crane movements, and signal operators as a qualified Rigger or Dogman

• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders

• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance, and safety paperwork

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Valid High Risk Work Licences for Crane Operation, Rigging and Dogging

• Crane operator licences C1, C2, C6, and C0 would be desirable for this position

• Substantial experience operating mobile cranes in a construction environment

• Minimum of 1-2 years crane operating experience is required

• Exceptional knowledge of crane operation, load calculations, and lifting procedures

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Commitment to safety and a collaborative, team-oriented approach

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Australian citizenship is required for this position

• Experience across the full crane size range from 20T Franna's up to 220T Grove Cranes is preferred

• Candidates must possess either HR or HC Heavy Vehicle Licence as the minimum requirement

• Construction Induction White Card required for this position
