GROUNDSPERSON (FULL-TIME)

Are you an experienced groundsperson with a passion to take ownership of maintaining our unique 28 acre site's bushland, lawns and gardens?

This is a diverse, hands-on groundsperson position where no two days are the same.

StayKCC is seeking an experienced Groundsperson to join our team full-time. Working alongside our Facilities & Venue Services Manager and Supervisor, you'll be a leading hand responsible for maintaining the grounds of our 28-acre conference centre to an exceptional standard.

This is an exciting opportunity to enjoy a hands-on role in a unique environment where your work directly supports thousands of people attending Christian conferences, school camps and retreats each year.

• Maintaining parks, gardens, open spaces, and landscaped areas.

• Operating horticultural equipment and tools safely.

• Conducting pruning, mowing, edging, and general grounds maintenance.

• Providing weed control and bushcare activities.

• Being a leading hand for other team members assisting with grounds as required.

• Promoting safe work practices and contributing to a positive team culture.

We're looking for someone who is:

• An experienced groundsperson with 3-5 years' practical, all-round grounds maintenance experience.

• An experienced leading hand who enjoys working with people.

• Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual work.

• A practical problem solver with excellent initiative.

• Friendly and confident communicating with guests, contractors and staff.

• Honest, dependable and committed to high standards.

• Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team.

• Flexible and adaptable in a busy, changing environment.

• Committed to workplace safety and environmental best practice.

• Current NSW Driver Licence.

• Demonstrated 3-5 years' experience in grounds maintenance.

• Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual work.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Valid Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one.

• Permanent Australian residency with unrestricted working rights.

• Qualification in horticulture, landscaping, bushcare or a related area.

• Experience as a leading hand, supervising staff or small teams.

• A committed Christian who can positively contribute to our Christ-centred culture.

StayKCC is one of Australia's leading Christian conference centres, located on a beautiful 28-acre property in the heart of the Blue Mountains.
