THE OPPORTUNITY
Earlee Products is a Queensland-based food and beverage ingredients manufacturer supplying manufacturers and retailers across Australia and internationally. Based at our Murarrie site, this is a permanent, hands-on role reporting directly to the Head of Finance.
We're looking for an experienced finance professional who can take ownership of our month-end close cycle and keep our financial control environment running to a high standard. You'll work alongside our Finance Officers and be a key point of contact for our external auditors at BDO and tax advisors at Moore Australia.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Running the month-end close cycle including journals, accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
Maintaining general ledger integrity and preparing balance sheet reconciliations in Tencia ERP
Managing inventory accounting in line with AASB 102 and handling intercompany reconciliations
Preparing the monthly BAS and keeping GST coding accurate
Supporting the BDO audit with workpapers and query responses
Reviewing AP payment runs and monitoring AR ageing
Coordinating day-to-day with the Finance Officers to support a smooth close
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
CA or CPA qualified (or near-finalist considered)
At least 4 years' experience in a financial accounting role, with demonstrated month-end close ownership
Comfortable working in a manufacturing or FMCG environment - inventory accounting experience under AASB 102 is a genuine advantage
Proficient ERP user - Tencia experience is a bonus but not essential
Experience preparing workpapers for an external audit under the Corporations Act
Someone who works independently, holds themselves to a high standard, and fits well in a lean team
THE DETAILS
Start date: Immediate - as soon as practicable from offer acceptance
Hours: Flexible - full-time preferred but part-time or reduced hours considered for the right candidate
Location: Murarrie, QLD (on-site)
Salary: Competitive and negotiable based on experience
