About the role
Volvo Group has been in Australia since 1972 and has a strong track record of helping our customers succeed in their respective industries. Volvo Group Australia manages the manufacturing, distribution and operation of well-known brands such as Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta, Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Financial Services.
This role will work for Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV), who are the primary commercial vehicle distribution centre’s for Volvo Trucks and Buses, Mack Trucks and UD Trucks.
What you will doAt VCV Sydney, you will be responsible for providing an efficient after-sales service by identifying, sourcing and selling truck and bus parts to our valued customers.
• Daily upkeep of retail displays
• Highlight current specials for customer visibility
• Actively market and sell parts to meet business targets
• Develop and maintain customer base, generating new business
• Coordinate and implement the supply of Parts and Parts Services
• Respond efficiently to customer enquiries, process invoices, and handle returns
• Provide prompt and courteous service to customers
• Effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and team members
• Perform parts warehousing tasks, including sorting and ordering
• Raise vendor purchase orders and maintain documentation.
Your future teamReporting to the Parts Manager, you will work in a team of roughly 25 covering Parts and Warehouse roles. The Parts team pride themselves on running a quality and highly efficient operation, in a supportive team environment. The greater VCV Prestons Workshop team is made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Service Advisor’s and Costing Clerk’s.
Who are you?We believe that your behaviours and attributes are just as important as your technical skills, so ideally you will bring:
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The ability to prioritise and manage your time
• A team player mindset
• Strong truck parts knowledge, ideally within a retail environment
• Strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• The ability to participate in a rotating roster to work Saturday shifts and be on call for parts supply.
