Job Description

Song for the Mute is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Retail Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our retail environment while delivering an elevated and highly personalised customer experience reflective of the brand.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of luxury fashion retail, client engagement, team leadership and operational management, while embodying the values and creative vision of Song for the Mute.

• Lead and manage all daily retail operations across the store environment
• Deliver exceptional client service and cultivate long-term relationships with local and international clientele
• Drive sales performance and achieve retail targets through strategic client development and team leadership
• Train, mentor and manage retail staff to maintain a consistently high standard of presentation, product knowledge and customer experience
• Oversee rostering, staffing and day-to-day team management
• Maintain visual merchandising standards in alignment with the brand’s creative direction
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement and replenishment requirements
• Liaise with head office teams across merchandising, operations and e-commerce to ensure alignment across the business
• Manage store reporting, sales analysis and operational administration
• Support retail activations, launches, events and VIP appointments

Skill & Experience

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years experience in luxury fashion retail management
• Strong understanding of clientelling and luxury customer service standards
• Understanding of social media channels, particularly channels like WeChat and Redbook.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced retail environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of sales performance and KPI management
• Passion for design, craftsmanship and contemporary fashion culture
• Flexible availability including weekends and event periods

Preferred

• Existing network within luxury fashion or creative industries
• Graduate degree in Fashion / Business
• Mandarin speaker.
• Experience with Shopify & Zedonk.
• Experience working with international clientele
• Understanding of inventory systems and retail reporting platforms
