About the role
A lot of managers coordinate talent.
Whereas you want to build influential people, and in turn, their careers.
We’re looking for an experienced Talent Manager to join Neuralle and take responsibility for a portfolio of Australian creators.
Some will be allocated, the rest will be yours to go find & sign.
This is not an entry-level role.
You’ll have at least two years of relevant industry experience and be able to point to talent you’ve signed, managed, developed or commercially represented. This could be as a talent manager, product, media/creative agency account manager, or PR rep.
You understand the difference between getting someone a deal and building them a career.
The Job
Your job is to make your talent more valuable.
That means growing their audience, reputation, opportunities and earning power over time, while building a commercially successful portfolio for Neuralle.
We pay monthly bonuses that connect your work to your output.
You’ll:
Own and grow a portfolio of creators against commercial targets.
Be the primary manager and trusted advisor to your talent.
Identify, negotiate and manage brand partnerships, sponsorships and broader career opportunities.
Develop talent beyond the next campaign, including new formats, platforms, audiences and commercial opportunities.
Prospect and sign creators you believe should be represented by Neuralle.
Maintain relationships across agencies, brands, platforms, publishers and the broader entertainment industry.
Work with Neuralle’s partnerships, creative and talent teams to turn ideas into opportunities.
Know what is happening across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, podcasts and the wider entertainment landscape before somebody sends you a trend report about it.
Who we’re looking for
Someone who already knows this industry like the back of their hand.
You’ve spent at least two years working in talent management, influencer marketing, media, publishing, entertainment or another role where creators and commercial partnerships were part of the job.
You can demonstrate judgement in those roles.
You know which opportunities to pursue, which ones to decline, and when a creator needs advice rather than agreement.
You should be able to show us:
Experience managing, representing or commercially working with creators.
A working network across the Australian creator, media, agency or brand landscape.
Evidence that you can develop talent commercially, not simply administer inbound deals.
Strong commercial instincts and comfort working to revenue and portfolio targets.
An excellent understanding of social platforms from both a cultural and commercial perspective.
The ability to negotiate, communicate clearly and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Enough organisation to manage multiple creators, campaigns and opportunities without becoming the bottleneck.
Bachelor’s degrees are nice, but if you can prove that you’ve had impact on talent - we don’t care if you have a HECS debt or not.
You’ll also need to be Melbourne-based and able to travel when required.
Experience with Airtable, Slack and Google Workspace is useful. Being chronically online is almost unavoidable - be prepared for the IG team chat.
How we manage talent
We take a talent-first approach, but not a talent-always-right approach.
A good manager earns enough trust to have difficult conversations.
We expect our managers to be commercially ambitious for their talent, transparent with them and willing to challenge them when the long-term decision is different from the easy one.
How you’ll be paid
The role includes a base salary of $80,000 ex Super plus performance-based remuneration tied to the portfolio you manage. Hit your budget, and you get a clip on every dollar over that budget.
If your talent grows, their commercial opportunities grow and your portfolio performs, you participate in that upside.
We are building an org structure that will last for 50+ years that rewards participation and effort, not solely to make the founders wealthy.
About Neuralle
Neuralle is a creative company built around attention.
We work with creators and brands to develop audiences, ideas and commercial opportunities across the modern media landscape.
Social media fundamentally changed our business after 2020. It is changing again now, with a rapid growth spurt.
We are a very open and transparent organisation, giving you the keys to grow your career.
Applying
Send us:
A CV of no more than two pages.
A short cover letter.
Don’t use the cover letter to tell us you’re passionate about social media.
Tell us what you think is happening in the Australian creator or talent market, where the opportunities are, and what separates a good Talent Manager from an average one.
We’ll have more to talk about from there.
