Key responsibilities of the role:
You will support the team by delivering comprehensive administration and support services in the area of Family Law.
You will work closely with our team of lawyers and legal support staff by assisting with the following:
Telephone and reception inquiries including taking new client inquiries.
Opening and closing files.
Diary and task management.
Liaising with clients, counsel and other professionals.
Maintaining calendars and appointments.
Preparing court documents, briefs and general correspondence.
Filing court documents.
Invoicing.
Ensuring the smooth day to day running of the practice.
Experience in an administrative assistant role is essential. Ideally you will have 2+ years’ experience as a legal administrative assistant.
Requirements for the role:
Sound and advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Exceptional phone manner.
Fast and accurate typing.
Courteous and professional demeanour.
Strong technical, written and communication skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Strong attention to detail, proof-reading and sub-editing skills.
A passion for providing a high level of customer service.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
Proactive and positive approach.
Great at contributing to a team environment but also able to work autonomously and under pressure when needed.
Experience with eBrief, Docusign and legal software will be highly regarded.
