Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Mackin Services is a family owned & operated business in Perth. We are seeking a fully qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our small team working in our Maddington workshop. You'll work within a small supportive team where quality workmanship is valued. We work on a large variety of trucks & plant, Including Truck mounted EWP & Cranes.

Employment conditions

• Full-Time Monday to Friday

• Overtime paid on all hours over 38

• $47 - $55 per hour plus over time

• Includes work vehicle

• Weekly Pay

• Pay negotiable depending on experience.

• 2 week break over Christmas/New year period available to all employees

The Role

As part of our team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of equipment, including

• A variety of truck makes and models, with a strong focus on Japanese trucks

• A variety of Truck-mounted Cranes and EWPs

• Hydraulic systems, including fault finding, diagnosis and repairs

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance

• Identifying repair requirements and providing effective solutions

• Completing accurate job records

• Maintaining a safe, organised and clean workshop environment

Qualifications and Experience

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate - (Essential)

• Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic working on trucks, EWPs, cranes, or similar equipment.

• Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)

• Forklift Licence (Desirable)

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Self-motivated and productive individual with a high regard for safe work practices

• Able to work independently without supervision, as well as in a team.

• Able to pass a pre-employment medical & background check.
