Casual Café Team Member – Cockatoo Overboard, Cockatoo Island (Sydney Harbour)

Cockatoo Overboard is a busy, welcoming café located on beautiful Cockatoo Island, and we’re looking for Casual Café Team Members to join our friendly crew for 3–5 days per week.We welcome mature‑age applicants and working‑holiday visa candidates. Weekday-only, weekend-only, or mixed availability options are available. We are an LGBTQ‑friendly workplace.
Responsibilities
Deliver warm, genuine customer service with a positive attitudeTake orders and serve food and beverages efficiently and accuratelyPrepare barista‑style coffee and other beverages to a high standardHandle cash and operate the POS system confidentlyClear tables and maintain a clean, organised café environmentAssist with basic food preparation and kitchen dutiesSupport the team proactively during busy periodsParticipate in events and catering as required
Requirements
Previous café or hospitality experience is preferred but not essentialA genuine passion for customer service and making people feel welcomeBarista skills or willingness to learn and be trainedStrong communication skills and ability to work well in a teamFlexibility to work across events and cateringRSA required (or willingness to obtain)
