About the Role

We are currently seeking a hardworking and committed Fabricator to join our team based at Meadowbrook and become an integral part of our fabrication crew.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sheetmetal fabricator, particularly someone with stainless steel fabrication experience, to further develop their skills and progress their career within a well-established Australian manufacturing business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Fabrication of custom stainless steel products, including benching, shelving and other commercial items.

• TIG and MIG welding, including stainless steel welding and polishing.

• Folding, cutting, drilling and assembly of sheetmetal products.

• Reading and interpreting shop drawings and fabrication documentation.

• Liaising with estimators, project managers and other members of the team as required.

• Travelling to and from construction sites for installations when required.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop.

• Performing general workshop duties as required.

About You

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and attributes:

• Relevant trade qualification, preferably Certificate III or IV in Sheetmetal Engineering.

• Current Construction Induction (White) Card.

• Current Queensland Driver Licence.

• Forklift Licence is desirable.

• Proven TIG and MIG welding experience is essential.

• Strong experience in stainless steel fabrication, with additional experience in aluminium and mild steel highly regarded.

• Ability to accurately interpret shop drawings and fabricate custom products for commercial kitchens, bars, cafés and similar projects.

• Sound understanding of fabrication processes, industry terminology and associated documentation.

• High level of attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

• Strong time management, planning and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team environment.

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices and procedures.

• Reliable, motivated and willing to contribute positively to a busy workshop environment.
