Wilchem is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer and supplier of crop nutrition, biological and soil health products servicing the agricultural sector throughout Australia. Our product range includes liquid fertilisers, micronutrients, biological products and specialty crop nutrition solutions designed to improve productivity and profitability for growers.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking multiple experienced and motivated Sales Managers to join our team and play a key role in supporting our distributor network, developing new markets and driving product innovation.
About the role
Reporting to senior management, the Territory Sales Manager will provide technical support to our distribution network while identifying and developing commercial opportunities for Wilchem's product range. This role combines agronomic knowledge with sales, business development and market development responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with distributors, agronomists and growers to maximise sales opportunities and deliver technical support. This is a field-based position requiring extensive travel within your territory.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
Provide product pricing and commercial support to distributors.
Develop and implement call plans with distributors.
Conduct regular distributor and customer visits.
Identify opportunities to increase sales and market penetration.
Support distributors in developing opportunities within their customer base.
Working with our technical team, provide recommendations regarding micronutrient and crop nutrition products.
Assess and confirm product compatibility requirements.
Identify new market opportunities and growth segments.
Represent Wilchem at conferences, field days and industry events.
About you
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with distributors, agronomists and growers.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A commercial mindset and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
The ability to work independently and manage your own territory and customer relationships.
A qualification and/or relevant experience in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Science or a related discipline is desirable.
A current Australian Driver's Licence.
Previous experience working in a field-based agricultural sales, agronomy or technical role will be highly regarded.
