Our Young People
Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, environmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.

Our Team
Fitzroy North College is a small, calm and inclusive learning space designed for young people who haven’t felt supported in traditional school settings. Many experience school-related anxiety, neurodivergence or mental health challenges. Staff co-create a predictable, welcoming environment that supports confidence and connection.
The Role
The Program Director - Teaching and Learning VCE, VM and VPC (Senior Stream) provides leadership across teaching, learning and student engagement, working closely with the Campus Principal and school leadership team to deliver high-quality educational outcomes. From 2027, this role will play a key part in establishing Fitzroy North College's inaugural Year 11 VCE VM and VPC programs, creating meaningful senior pathways that support young people to remain engaged in learning and successfully transition into Year 12 and beyond.
This position includes:
You will be employed on an ongoing basis, with a fixed-term POL 4 and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.
This position is classified as an ongoing Teacher role, with a salary range of $79,589 to $118,063 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience), plus a POL 4 allowance of $13,018 per annum for a fixed term of five years.
We are ideally seeking a candidate who can commence as soon as practicably possible; however, we welcome applications from candidates who are available to commence in January 2027.
