Start your automotive career as a Parts Interpreter Apprentice with our Rockhampton team. You’ll complete structured on the job training while gaining hands on experience across customer enquiries, parts sales and stock control in a busy truck parts department. The role will also include supporting the warehouse team with parts handling, picking, packing and dispatch activities as required.

What You’ll Learn and Do:

• Assist customers and internal teams with front counter, phone and email parts enquiries.

• Learn how to identify, source and supply truck parts accurately and efficiently.

• Support parts sales, quotes, invoices, purchase orders, payments and credit returns.

• Assist with stock control activities including ordering, receipting, stocktakes and inventory records.

• Support warehouse activities including picking, packing, sorting, storage and stock movements.

• Assist with dispatching parts to meet daily delivery timeframes and customer requirements.

• Maintain accurate customer order, invoice and parts documentation.

• Build product knowledge through mentoring, practical training and day to day experience.

• Work safely and follow company policies, environmental standards and WHS requirements.

About You:

• You’re interested in the automotive, transport, parts or warehousing industry and keen to build a long-term career.

• You bring a positive attitude, reliability and a strong willingness to learn.

• You enjoy helping people and can communicate clearly with customers and teammates.

• You have basic computer skills, good attention to detail and an organised approach.

• You are safety conscious and comfortable working in both customer facing and hands on warehouse environments.

• Mechanical aptitude or previous exposure to parts, warehousing, customer service or automotive environments would be helpful, but is not essential.

Training and Career Development

This position gives you the opportunity to develop practical parts interpreting skills while completing structured workplace training. For the right candidate, WTG will support the opportunity to undertake the Certificate III in Automotive Sales (Parts Interpreting), helping you build a recognised pathway into the heavy vehicle parts industry.
