Labourers - Brush Cutting and Skilled Land Management

About the role

Civitus Land is a professional crew working in regional WA and locally. We are looking for labourers to work out of our Belmont depot to service our client's sites, which includes local shires, state government and private companies. The majority of the work will be operating brush cutters for up to 6 hrs a day, clearing land of brush, shrubs, and other vegetation which is crucial in the prevention of bush fires. We also have positions for skilled arborist, machine operators, and herbicide technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake various labouring duties under supervision or working alone
• Maintain verges and blocks of land in accordance with fire mitigation standards
• Operate equipment - brush cutters, ride-on mowers, as well as chainsaws and tree pruning equipment
• Ensure our service is of a high quality and standard
• Document completed works using tablets
• Drive company vehicles and work with adherence to OSH standards
• Work early starts Monday to Friday
• Willingness to work overtime when required

About you

• Working rights in Australia
• Valid WA driver's licence
• Great communication skills
• Be well presented, physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
• A valid National Police Clearance no more than 3-months old (or willing to obtain one)
• Possess a White Card (or willing to obtain one)
• Valid manual MR licence with solid experience (desired)
• Operating commercial brush cutters (desired)
• Operating zero-turn mowers (desired)
• EWP licences (desired)
