KE Select is partnering with a highly respected global life sciences consultancy seeking an experienced Technical Regional Manager to lead operations, drive business growth, and support pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical technology clients across Victoria. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded technical leader who enjoys balancing client engagement, project delivery, people leadership, and strategic business development.

About the Opportunity

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the Victorian business while maintaining the highest standards of technical consulting and project delivery. You will work closely with life sciences manufacturers and regulated organisations, helping them navigate complex projects including validation, quality, compliance, and operational excellence initiatives.

This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and commercial responsibility, making it ideal for someone who thrives on building client relationships while mentoring and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business development activities and identify new consulting opportunities within the life sciences sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device clients.
• Develop proposals and scopes of work in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants and technical professionals.
• Manage project delivery, ensuring quality outcomes, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Provide technical expertise across validation, compliance, quality systems, and project management initiatives.
• Support regional growth strategies and contribute to broader business objectives.
• Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

About You

You are an experienced life sciences professional who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen and leadership capability.
You will ideally possess:

• Degree qualifications in Engineering, Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years' experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or related regulated industries.
• Proven experience in business development, client relationship management, and project delivery.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated project management expertise.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-focused mindset.
• A passion for helping clients achieve operational and regulatory excellence.
