About the role
The CFMEU Construction & General Division is one of Australia’s most powerful and activist unions, representing over 80,000 construction workers nationwide. We keep workers safe, fight for strong wages and conditions, and lead national campaigns that change lives. As the Union rebuilds under Administration and prepares to return to democratic member control, we are investing in cultural renewal and gender equity across our industry and our organisation.
We are seeking a passionate and strategic National Women’s Officer to drive the CFMEU’s work to increase women’s participation in construction, strengthen representation within the union, and lead meaningful cultural change. Backed by significant national resources, you will work closely with state and national women’s committees to design and deliver policy, advocacy, training, and programs that promote gender equity and support women workers across our industry.
Please view the attached position description for further information.
This role is ideal for someone with strong advocacy skills, deep experience in gender equality policy or industrial reform, and a commitment to the values of the trade union movement.
You will represent the CFMEU in national forums, shape our policy agenda, lead organisational-wide cultural initiatives, and build alliances that make real change for women in construction.
If you are driven, collaborative, and ready to help shape a more inclusive and powerful future for our union, we’d love to hear from you.
