Customer service – JUNIOR position

About the Role

Otto’s Market is looking for a friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic School-aged Junior Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in hospitality and customer service. Full training will be provided, making this the perfect role for someone eager to learn and develop valuable skills in a fast-paced café and retail environment.

As part of our team, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere for every customer while assisting with food and beverage service, maintaining store presentation, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the café.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.
• Greet customers and assist with product and menu enquiries.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process transactions accurately.
• Serve cakes, pastries, sweets, and other café products.
• Learn to prepare and serve coffee and other beverages under supervision.
• Assist with restocking displays and maintaining product presentation.
• Keep workstations, dining areas, and equipment clean and organised.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Support team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
• Maintain Otto’s Market’s high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service.

Qualifications & Experience

• No previous experience is required—full training will be provided.
• Previous customer service, retail, or hospitality experience is not essential
• Basic computer skills and experience using POS systems are an advantage
