Diploma/Certificate III Educators - 3 year old group

POSITION TITLE: Diploma/Certificate III Educators - 3 year old group
POSITION TYPE: Part Time
Hours: Total 18.75, 15 hours contact and 3.75 non contact.
Tuesday and Friday (contact days) 8am - 4.30pm
Thursday: 1.75hr per week planning with the 3 year old teaching team.
LOCATION: Mentone Pre School, 6 Station Street, Mentone 3194
REPORTING TO: 3 year old teacher
AGREEMENT/AWARD: VECTEA Agreement 2020 (46/52 Model of Employment)
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must hold a current qualification of a Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care recognised by ACECQA
Must old a current ACECQA compliant First Aid Certificate, including Resuscitation, Asthma Management, and Anaphylaxis.
Current valid Working With Children Check
Current Mandatory child protection training and knowledge.
Current Foundations and Advanced Child Safety reform training and knowledge
Minimum Two (2) years previous expereicne working in the early childhood sector preferred
Two (2) professional references
Current Victorian or National Police Check (desirable)
Current Victorian Drivers Licence (desirable)
Candidates must have permanent or temporary working rights in Australia with no restrictions.
Skills:
● Thorough understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and/or Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and be able to apply them in their teaching practice.
● Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
● Thorough understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS).
● Demonstrated understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture.
● Awareness of the Kindergarten Funding Guide.
● Knowledge and understanding of mandatory reporting requirements.
● Sound understanding of the Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS), Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS), and Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).
● Have a sound understanding and knowledge of early childhood development and education.
● Ability to develop, document, and implement a high-quality, developmentally appropriate education program for kindergarten children, in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
● Knowledge of work health and safety legislation, employee responsibilities, safety practices, and safety issues for children and staff.
● The ability to plan, work, and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
● Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with the approved provider, children, parents, other staff, and professionals.
● Ability to work in a cooperative, flexible, and professional manner with children, parents, staff, and approved provider.
● Well-developed leadership and self-motivation skills.
● Ability to ensure confidentiality of information.
