About the Role
This is a Permanent position at 48 hours per fortnight within the Banksia Adolescent Inpatient Ward
You will be responsible for the delivery of one to one and group peer support for families and carers of children and adolescents using your personal mental health experience to model and promote recovery and hope.
You will be expected to uphold the lived experience principles and working values in order to develop relationships with families of those young people accessing our services which are strength, ability, possibility and recovery focused.
Classification for this position will range from AK39-AK42 (FTE base salary $74,630.40-$80,719.60 per annum, plus superannuation).

About the Department
Banksia is a tertiary Level 5 Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, supporting young people and their families aged 13-18 living in the Western regions of Victoria and Tasmnia. We are a 16 bedded unit, supporting young people who present with complex and severe mental health needs; open 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, staffed by a multidisciplinary team.
