Beverages - Machine Operator

The Beverages Department at Berkeley Vale are responsible for making some of Australia’s most beloved products, including Up&Go, So Good and Alternative Dairy Co.  As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of key manufacturing or packing machinery. You’ll play a key role in creating high-quality products that change lives every day. Reporting to the Senior Team Leader on shift, we are seeking candidates to fill roles on both Day and Afternoon shift:

Day Shift Hours

Monday - Thursday:               7:00am – 3:00pm

Friday:                                     6:00am – 12:00pm

Afternoon Shift Hours

Monday – Thursday                3:00pm -11:00pm

Friday                                       10:00am - 4:00pm

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate activities with other Beverage’s areas for efficient and continuous operations.
• Monitor the production/packing process to ensure smooth machine operation.
• Move materials and restock resources (may require use of a forklift or manual handling).
• Record data as required and undertake product and quality testing.
• Clean and maintain hygiene in your operating area.
• Take part in continuous improvement activities.

The successful applicant will also have the following skills and experience:

• Forklift License or willingness to obtain is critical.
• Ability to undertake manual handling of up to 25kg.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Ability to cope with pressures and setbacks in a constructive manner.
• Ability to analyse information and make decisions accordingly.
• Strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
