Task & responsibilities Manage a high volume of financial records, including accounts payable and receivable entries monthly, contributing to a streamlined financial process. Assist the accountant in developing forecasts and budgets of operating results by providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Prepare and record monthly journal entries for accruals and prepayments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and policies. Process daily invoices and supplier payment runs while performing timely follow-ups on debt collection and clearing discrepancies. Prepare and lodge monthly and quarterly BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, and FBT, maintaining compliance with regulatory compliance.

Play a key role in tax preparation by organizing and verifying financial data, analysing audit details, and expediting tax return completion. Analyse and optimise expenses, while maintaining adherence to budgetary guidelines. Generate month-end financial reports and present them to the board of directors, outlining trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  Qualification & experience Qualifications: A relevant bachelor’s degree  Experience Requirement: At least 1 year of experience Essential Skills and Requirements: Proficient in XERO, MYOB, and QuickBooks Working knowledge of Sage ERP and basic SAP functionality Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis) Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access Strong relationship-building and supplier management. Collaborative team player with a focus on creative problem-solving.
