Centre Director — Long Day Care | Sydney North Shore
A privately owned, single-site long day care service on Sydney's Upper North Shore is seeking an experienced Centre Director to lead the service day to day, working closely with the owner. Close to public transport, with onsite parking.
The role
Driving occupancy and enrolment growth — enquiries, tours, waitlist management and family retention
Leading the educator team — recruitment, induction, rosters, performance and professional development
Building efficient rosters that meet ratio and qualification requirements while managing the service to its wage budget
Acting as Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person
Compliance with the National Law, National Regulations and NQS, and leading the QIP
Strong relationships with families, including enquiries and concerns
Working with the owner on budget, fee structure and CCS administration
About you
ACECQA-approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (essential) — an ACECQA-approved Bachelor / ECT qualification is highly regarded
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Centre Director, Assistant Director or 2IC in long day care (essential)
Demonstrated experience growing or sustaining occupancy in a long day care service
Proven ability to lead, develop and retain an educator team
Strong rostering skills — able to meet ratio and qualification requirements while keeping wage costs within budget
Sound working knowledge of the NQF and the assessment and rating process
Current NSW Working With Children Check
Current Child Protection training, First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis certification
Confident communicator with both families and staff
Willing and eligible to be appointed Nominated Supervisor
