Seeking Support Workers! SLHD Out of Hospital Care

We are currently seeking Casual Community Support Workers to support our Out of Hospital Care clients to live safely and independently at home.
The work is across Sydney’s Inner West, Inner City and Canterbury-Bankstown communities.

• Wide variety of shifts available at least two weekday availability of around Mon - Fri 7am- 5pm

What we're looking for:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or equivalent is a MUST.
• Experience in either aged care, disability, community is ideal. 
• Strong communication and observational skills
• Patience, reliability, and a gentle approach to care
• Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle (essential)
• Highly desirable if you speak an additional language in addition to English either Italian, Mandarin, Cantonese,, Greek and Arabic. 

Role responsibilities:

• Support Out of Hospital Care clients to live well at home by providing personal care with dignity, including assistance with showering, grooming and dressing.
• You’ll also help with domestic tasks, meal preparation and offer companionship that truly makes a difference.  

Mandatory Requirements:

• Current First Aid Certificate
• Police Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• TB Screening, DTPA, Hepatitis B, MMR and Varicella vaccinations (or willing to obtain)
• Full Australian Work Rights
