About The Opportunity

Based in Henderson, WA, the Asset Management Lead is responsible for providing asset management leadership, guidance, and expertise to implement, maintain, and continuously improve Austal’s asset management system. Working across multiple departments and the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement (SSA) program, you will play a key role in building asset management capability, driving best practice, and ensuring alignment with ISO 55001 asset management requirements.

What’s Involved

Provide asset management leadership, guidance, and support across the SSA programDevelop, implement, maintain, and improve Asset Management Plans aligned to ISO 55001Promote asset management frameworks, standards, processes, and systems across the businessDeliver asset management training and capability development initiativesLead asset management analytics, modelling, and reporting activitiesSupport estimating and forecasting activities relating to asset management servicesEnsure lifecycle asset data is accurate, maintained, and effectively managedDrive continuous improvement, risk management, and business enhancement initiativesWork with stakeholders to identify and develop business opportunities and asset management improvements

You’ll Need

Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Engineering, or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience in asset management leadership and system implementationStrong understanding of asset management principles, frameworks, and methodologiesExperience developing and maintaining asset management systems aligned to ISO 55001Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder engagement skillsEligibility for membership with the Asset Management Council, Engineers Australia, or a similar professional bodyExperience within Defence, maritime, or complex industrial environments is highly regardedEligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
