As our Retirement Living portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Regional Support Specialist with a strong background in retirement village management to provide operational guidance, coaching and support to Village Managers across our villages, helping them deliver safe, high-quality operations and exceptional resident outcomes.
Using your firsthand experience managing a retirement village, you will partner with Village Managers to share best practice, provide practical operational advice, and support them to achieve positive outcomes for their villages. You will help optimise village performance, support occupancy growth, strengthen compliance, and ensure villages operate safely, effectively and in line with Catholic Healthcare standards. This is an influential support role, working collaboratively with Village Managers to build capability, and promote consistent, high-quality operations in our communities where older people can thrive.
While the hybrid role is based at Macquarie Park, frequent travel to Retirement Living Villages in Sydney Metro and the Illawarra is required.
Day To Day This Role Will See You
Provide day-to-day operational guidance and coaching to Village Managers across the regionSupport villages to achieve occupancy, sales and financial targetsSupport the development of extra services, including food and beverage operations, that enhance the resident experience and respond to the evolving needs and expectations of our residents.Promote compliance with the Retirement Villages Act, Residential Tenancies Act and internal safety systemsSupport the onboarding of new Village Managers and provide operational support by backfilling Village Manager roles during periods of leave.Work with Marketing, Finance, Property, HR and Home & Community teams to support village performanceAssist with asset management planning, preventative maintenance, budgets and capital works projectsRepresent Retirement Living as a subject matter expert at meetings, resident forums and conferences when required
To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need
Previous management experience in retirement living, hospitality or a similar operational environmentStrong working knowledge of the NSW Retirement Villages ActBudget, financial management and asset management experienceHigh level written and verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with systemsAbility to work autonomously while building positive relationships across teamsA results-focused, customer-focused and values-led approachKnowledge of Home Care Packages would be highly regardedDriver’s license
