Glazier Apprentice

About the role

Glazify Pty Ltd is seeking a keen and motivated Glazier Apprentice to join our team in Ballarat, VIC. This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity that will provide you with comprehensive training in the glazing trade. As a Glazier Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced glaziers to develop practical skills and knowledge in glass cutting, installation, and finishing. This role is fundamental to building your career in the building trades and will equip you with the technical expertise required to become a skilled tradesperson in the glazing industry.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting experienced glaziers with the measurement, cutting, and installation of glass in windows, Shower Screens, Wardrobe Doors, Pet Doors and other fixtures

• Preparing work areas and ensuring all tools and materials are organised and ready for use

• Learning and applying safe work practices and health and safety regulations on site

• Finishing glass surfaces and installations to required standards

• Supporting the removal and replacement of existing glazing systems

• Handling and transporting glass and related materials safely and carefully

• Assisting with the fitting of frames, seals, and other components associated with glazing work

• Attending and successfully completing all required apprenticeship training and assessments

What we're looking for

• Year 10 or equivalent educational qualification, with strong literacy and numeracy skills

• A genuine interest in the building trades and a commitment to learning the glazing profession

• Physical fitness

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to attending all apprenticeship training requirements

• A willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Excellent health and safety awareness and a commitment to safe work practices

• A valid manual driver's licence and construction white card would be advantageous

• Willingness to obtain necessary certifications and qualifications as required by the apprenticeship program
