The Company

Regional Livestock Exchanges (RLX) is a leading agriculture organisation with core strengths of Infrastructure Management, stock handling and sales services, our operations are located throughout the eastern seaboard. This role is located in at Tamworth- Livestock Exchange (TRLX). TRLX draws livestock from as far south as Dubbo, deep into the Hunter Valley and as far North as Tenterfield and Goondiwindi.

Apart from sale day services, TRLX offers a variety of other services such as transit spelling, bunk feeding, yard weaning and animal health treatments. TRLX is also a great bull selling facility.

About the Role:

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team on a casual basis at the Tamworth Livestock Exchange Sale Yard.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced administration professional with knowledge of the livestock industry and a methodical approach to managing a variety of administrative tasks. You will play an important role in supporting livestock sale day operations while providing administrative assistance to customers, agents, the Site Manager, Livestock Manager, Livestock Coordinator, and the broader administration team.

Key Responsibilities

As an Administration Officer, you will:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Site Manager, Livestock Manager and Livestock Coordinator.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and Accounts team to maintain effective communication with businesses utilising RLX livestock sale facilities.
• Respond to customer enquiries in a professional, timely and efficient manner.
• Perform a range of administrative duties, including accounts administration, filing, maintaining office supplies and managing vending machine stock.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to agents, livestock vendors, purchasers and suppliers.
• Accurately process purchase orders and accounts payable/receivable invoices, liaising with relevant stakeholders as required.
• Process and report livestock sale data with a high level of accuracy.
• Complete sale day administrative tasks in accordance with established procedures while maintaining accuracy under time-sensitive conditions.
• Contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the site through efficient administrative support.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within the livestock, agriculture or a related industry.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Be able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, and confident learning new business systems.
• Possess strong computer, data entry and organisational skills.
• Have sound numeracy and literacy skills.
• Be able to prioritise competing tasks and work efficiently under direction.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Present professionally, enjoy building positive working relationships, and be committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Be enthusiastic, reliable and willing to learn new skills.
