About the role
We’ve got the brands, we’ve got the stars, we’ve got the power to achieve our mission to entertain the planet – now all we’re missing is… YOU! Becoming a part of Paramount means joining a team of passionate people who not only recognize the power of content but also enjoy a touch of fun and uniqueness. Together, we co-create moments that matter – both for our audiences and our employees – and aim to leave a positive mark on culture.
Paramount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide. Driven by iconic studios, networks and streaming services, Paramount's portfolio of consumer brands includes CBS, Showtime Networks, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, Paramount+, Pluto TV, Network 10 (Australia) and Channel 5 (UK).
In Australia, we deliver premium content on any screen, anytime, anywhere, via an enhanced viewing ecosystem. We pride ourselves on creating content that gets people talking. What’s more, you can watch and stream for free on 10, 10 Drama, 10 Comedy and Nickelodeon, plus a vast array of Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST channels) as well as our subscription video on demand service Paramount+.
We now have a rare opportunity for an experienced Publicist to join our team in SYDNEY.
This is a permanent full-time role and ready for an immediate start.
Enough about us! What you’ll do as a Senior National Publicist:
As a National Senior Publicist at Paramount ANZ, you will be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of targeted strategies for publicising and profiling our content and associated talent across all of the platforms of Paramount ANZ, including Network 10, Paramount+, MTV, Nickelodeon and 10 Streaming.
This is an exciting, high-profile role and requires significant experience in a similar role with demonstrated skills and knowledge of new media and innovation, not just traditional media.
You’ll be busy doing things like this:
Developing and implementing communication strategies for Paramount ANZ programs and talent, achieving high-level placements across print, broadcast, online, digital and social channels. Pitching new ideas and considering innovative ways of positively raising the profile of Paramount content and talent to create “buzz” and get people talking. Building connections with key media organisations and journalists across both traditional and non-traditional platforms. Building and fostering connections with key social media content creators and influencers to generate earned and paid social media coverage across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube. Actively exploring and identifying new and interesting avenues for communicating effectively and imaginatively with viewers, wherever they are, to reach both established and new audiences. Co-ordinating and overseeing talent interviews, screenings, launches and briefings. Writing clear, concise and engaging media information for shows, including press releases, media kits, and lines against enquiry, adapting your writing style to reflect the tone of the program. Anticipating and managing issues with a potentially negative impact and handling reactive crisis communications when required. Establishing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with a wide range of talent, agents, media, production, content creators, influencers, personal publicists and unit publicists. Briefing talent in advance of interviews, photo shoots and events.
What are we looking for in a National Senior Publicist? What’s important?
