Tuggeranong is a practice with genuine growth ahead, and we have the funding and flexibility to offer substantial support to GPs who want to join us and help build it.  This is more than an individual GP vacancy.

Through a dedicated ACT initiative focused on expanding access to bulk billed general practice, we are building a larger clinical team around the centre and have substantial funding available to help suitable doctors make the move.

Whether you are already based in Canberra, considering relocating from regional Australia or planning an international move, we can develop an individual package around your circumstances.

Support may include

• Significant relocation and commencement support
• A tailored income guarantee or establishment arrangement
• Up to $10,000 annually toward relevant professional development
• Immigration, registration and qualification-related assistance
• Funded GP supervision where required
• Training and development in priority areas of community need
• Practical support for doctors and families relocating to Canberra

The final package will reflect the doctor’s experience, hours, proposed commencement date and level of commitment.

Shape a growing medical centre

The centre currently provides services Monday to Friday and is entering an important period of expansion.

As the GP team grows, there is scope to broaden opening hours, introduce weekend general practice and develop additional clinical services. Doctors joining during this stage will have the opportunity to influence how the practice evolves.

There is a particular community need for greater GP participation in opioid maintenance treatment. Doctors with existing experience are strongly encouraged to enquire. Doctors interested in developing this area can also access funded training and support.
