Are you an experienced engineering leader ready to take ownership of a pivotal manufacturing operation? Randstad is currently seeking an Engineering & Technical Manager to join a major manufacturing facility in Hobart.

This leading agricultural manufacturer has been a cornerstone of the Australian farming industry for over three decade.Their Hobart site is a high impact operation that integrates production, blending, and distribution services to support a vast network of regional dealers and growers.

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will be the primary interface for complex technical operations and a dedicated team of engineering and maintenance professionals.

You will be the person who takes complex engineering challenges and turns them into actionable plans to continue the growth and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Implement engineering strategies and policies that align with overarching business objectives
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary interface between engineering teams and departments such as Marketing, Manufacturing, and Sales
• Operational Oversight: Utilise systems like SAP and Microsoft Office to monitor production quality, maintenance, and HR functions
• Performance Management: Set clear goals, manage team performance, and facilitate professional growth

You will be a decisive leader who operates effectively under pressure and possesses a strong commercial acumen.

To be considered for this role you will;

• Hold a Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Have the ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Have demonstrated experience in decision making, training and development
