Food & Beverage Assistant / Catering Assistant

• Customer service — Provide friendly, professional service and build positive rapport with clients and visitors.

• Food preparation — Prepare fresh rolls, fruit salad, muesli, sandwiches and other items as directed.

• Breakfast & lunch service — Serve meals, operate POS/EFTPOS, manage coffee orders and support smooth service delivery.

• Barista duties — Operate, clean and maintain commercial coffee machines, restock supplies and monitor daily milk usage.

• Café presentation — Clean Bain‑Marie, coffee machine, service stations, tables and equipment; maintain appealing point‑of‑sale displays.

• Kitchen support — Assist with dishwashing, equipment cleaning, stock rotation and food preparation using commercial kitchen equipment.

• Safety & compliance — Follow ISS safety procedures, report hazards, attend toolbox talks and adhere to food handling requirements.

• Stock & equipment — Restock fridges, record fridge temperatures twice daily, monitor consumables and support stocktakes.

• General duties — Complete assigned tasks with minimal disruption and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Excellent customer service and relationship‑building skills

• Experience in a café, restaurant or food preparation environment

• Barista experience or willingness to learn

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Immaculate personal presentation and strong communication skills

• Experience operating POS systems

• Hospitality qualification or competency training (desirable)

• Previous experience in a corporate café environment (desirable)
