About the role
IAC Safety Services is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) dedicated to consistently providing quality vocational education services to the Electricity Supply Industry. Our philosophy is built on strong risk management principles and ensuring the highest standards of Workplace Health & Safety.
We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Trainer/Assessors to join our team of competent professionals. This role is ideal for industry experts with hands-on knowledge of the Accredited Service Provider (ASP) Scheme and Electricity Supply distribution systems who want to transition into or continue a rewarding career in education.
Key responsibilities
Plan, develop and deliver engaging session plans and practical demonstrations, in line with Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS) and relevant training package requirements.
Develop and maintain high-quality learning and assessment resources to support effective training delivery.
Assess student competence accurately through approved theoretical and practical methods, in accordance with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence.
Conduct assessments and provide constructive, timely feedback to support students throughout their learning journey.
Respond to student queries, provide academic guidance and actively support student engagement with course content.
Maintain detailed records of student progress and attendance using our management information systems and Office 365
Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities, contributing to the ongoing standardisation of assessment processes.
Maintain professional currency through ongoing industry engagement and professional development.
Suitable Background
We encourage applications from candidates who have:
Experience in the Electricity Supply Industry.
A background in Vocational Education
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive issues with diplomacy and professionalism.
The ability to produce clear, concise and analytical written and verbal reports.
Requirements
Attainment of, or willingness to undertake, the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor), or a higher-level adult education diploma.
Relevant vocational competencies, at least to the level being assessed.
Electrical Trade qualifications (where required).
Current driver's licence.
High Risk EWP over 11 metres licence (where required).
WHS Induction Training (White Card).
Relevant WHS qualifications and/or experience.
