Junior Accountant

• Manage the preparation and analysis of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and GST returns, ensuring compliance with tax obligations.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with the company’s annual financial audit and income tax return.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls in line with group policies and governance procedures.
• Make financial recommendations on operational aspects and identify risks and opportunities to improve performance and productivity.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure accurate cost allocation across business entities and departments.
• Manage and monitor fixed assets, including depreciation and vehicle registers.
• Support month end close processes, incl.

preparation of accruals, prepayments, inventory adjustments, and lease accounting schedules.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and additional month-end reporting.
• Supervise AP and AR functions and provide support.

Skills and experience:

• Minimums 2 years’ experience on relevant field.
• A relevant tertiary qualification (heading toward to CA/CPA is a plus).
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach
• The ability to manage priorities and work effectively as part of a team
• Have worked in a medium to large-sized enterprise
• Familiarity with Accounting & reporting software: MYOB, Business Central, Power BI, Paypac.
• Advanced Excel skills – minimum VLOOKUP, pivot tables.
