About the RoleAs a Youth & Family Wellbeing Practitioner within the Yeaca Dhargo Indigenous Family Wellbeing Service, you'll play a vital role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families to thrive.
You'll work alongside families to identify strengths, develop goals and create pathways toward safety, stability and wellbeing.
This is more than a case management role.
It's about building trusted relationships, strengthening cultural identity, empowering families to lead decision-making and creating opportunities for long-term positive change.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about community, culturally responsive in their practice and committed to empowering families.
You'll bring:
Essential✔ Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, families and communities
✔ Experience within family support, child protection, kinship care, youth work, community services or related fields
✔ Strong relationship-building and communication skills
✔ A strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to practice
✔ Knowledge of child development and family wellbeing principles
✔ Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, Youth Work, Human Services, Early Childhood or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
✔ Strong administration and case management skills including client database management
✔ Current Queensland Driver Licence
✔ Ability to obtain and maintain:
⭐ Experience within the Not-for-Profit sector
⭐ Knowledge of Family-Led Decision Making frameworks
⭐ Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities
⭐ Understanding of relevant child, family and community service legislation
⭐ Experience mentoring, supporting or guiding team members
