Job description:

We are looking for a reliable, detail-focused team member to join our Optical Production team based in Windsor, Brisbane. If you enjoy working with your hands, following structured processes, and take pride in producing high-quality work, this role could be a great fit. Experience in optics is not required, but it will be highly regarded.

As part of our Production team, you will be trained to manufacture prescription lenses using specialised equipment and established processes. Your work plays an important role in delivering quality products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting delivery timeframes. This is a hands-on role in a clean, structured manufacturing environment where accuracy, consistency, and teamwork are valued.

Your Responsibilities

• Following standard operating procedures to produce prescription lenses accurately and safely
• Working with machinery and tools after structured training and supervision
• Completing repetitive tasks with a high level of focus and attention to detail
• Checking work quality and identifying defects or inconsistencies early
• Recording production data and following traceability requirements
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production and service targets
• Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
• Following safety, quality, and compliance requirements at all times

About You

• Fine motor skills and ability to handle individual lenses carefully throughout the coating process
• Strong attention to detail and pride in doing things properly
• Comfort with repetitive tasks and structured processes
• Ability to follow instructions and SOPs consistently
• Willingness to learn new technical skills and take feedback onboard
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• Computer literacy and ability to record information accurately
• A team-first mindset and willingness to support others
