Business Development Manager - Logistics

With an extensive baking and grocery network covering daily fresh, ambient, chilled, and frozen palletised freight, we're looking for a commercially driven logistics professional to transform network capacity into profitable growth.

As our Business Development Manager - Logistics, you'll identify new revenue streams, develop strategic partnerships and build scalable logistics solutions across third-party freight, regional backhaul and foodservice channels.

What you'll do

• Identify and commercialise opportunities across our fresh bread and grocery distribution networks
• Develop third-party freight, last-mile delivery and shared-user logistics solutions
• Grow profitable regional backhaul freight and reduce empty kilometres
• Build a pipeline of new business opportunities and convert leads into contracted revenue
• Develop logistics solutions to support growth across foodservice customers and channels
• Prepare business cases, pricing models, customer proposals and commercial agreements
• Partner with logistics, operations, manufacturing, planning and commercial teams to deliver executable solutions

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in logistics, transport, freight, distribution or supply chain business development
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify profitable growth opportunities
• Deep understanding of fleet utilisation, route planning, freight lanes and network economics
• Experience developing customer relationships, negotiating contracts and delivering revenue growth
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess cost-to-serve, utilisation and profitability
• An entrepreneurial mindset and passion for building new business opportunities
• FMCG, food, grocery or temperature-controlled supply chain experience highly regarded
