About the Role
Arcos Group seek a Structural Engineer with 3+ years’ experience to join either our Sunshine Coast or Brisbane team in a full-time role. Working alongside a team of talented engineers and designers, you’ll contribute to a diverse and active project pipeline.
Success in this position means maintaining the integrity and safety of structures by conducting thorough inspections, assessing compliance with project specifications, and providing detailed reports.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage incoming inspection requests from clients and project teams including management of bookings.
Conduct thorough inspections of structural and civil elements during various stages of construction projects, including foundation, framing, stormwater, sewer and final inspections.
Assess the quality and integrity of structural components such as beams, columns, walls, and foundations to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
Identify and document any defects, deviations, or non-compliance issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues or RFIs and ensure timely completion of construction phases.
Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements.
Maintain detailed inspection records and reports, including photographs, measurements, and observations.
Issue detailed inspection reports and update data into management systems for records.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Construction Engineering or onsite Construction Supervision
Charted / RPEQ desired (not Essential)
Construction White Card
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-focused environment
Effective communication skills and a professional approach
A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous learning
